Day 18- Recovery From The Mental As Well As Physical Stressors

Active recovery is a necessity if we want to preserve gains. Studies show that walking, foam rolling and cycling all help promote the adaptation that we seek with exercise and weight training. This article goes into greater detail than I could here.

Sometimes mental recovery is as important as physical recovery. Take some time off to relax and let some stress dissipate. Each thing that we do in our daily lives has an effect on our mental state, positive or negative and these individual events will add up over time. It is important to know when things may be built up so that a time can be set aside to just let the tension pass.
